How to Clean Stainless Steel Surfaces the Right Way?

To clean your stainless steel surfaces, follow these simple steps:

  1. Make a cleaning solution : Mix warm water with a little mild dish soap in a bucket or spray bottle. For a more natural solution, you can also mix white vinegar with water (about 50/50).

  2. Wipe with a soft cloth : Dip a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge into the solution and gently wipe the stainless steel in the direction of the grain (the natural direction of the streaks on the surface). This will help prevent streaks.

  3. Remove stubborn stains : If stains remain, you can use a special stainless steel cleaner. Apply it with a soft cloth and then wipe it off with another dry cloth to avoid residue.

  4. Rinse and dry : After cleaning, rinse the surface with clean water to remove any soap or detergent residue. Dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth to prevent water spots.

  5. For a shiny finish : To restore the shine, apply a small amount of mineral oil (or cooking oil) to a clean cloth and buff the stainless steel in the direction of the grain. This will help restore the natural shine and repel fingerprints.

Avoid using abrasive products, metal scouring pads or harsh chemicals that may scratch or damage the surface.
